When we arrived in Tamil, I thought we are just in Davao. Same, there are so many Indians. Many business establishments and school buildings. No doubt they are so studious and intelligent not just the one I usually watch on Youtube Math Tutorials.
Talking about education not of India but ours, if you ask how's our education? 'It's so good and affordable.' Still, from an Indian perspectives. That's why they are flocking to Davao. A Senior High School student said that it's so tiring, kapuy ug labad. Answers varied. It depends on who you ask.
As the government is pushing the mandatory ROTC, would these not make the reactive youth more tired in school to be trained as men and women of discipline, courage, and patriotism under the shade of the sun? Jinjja says my neigbourhood.
"Sa ikauunlad ng bayan, disiplina ang kailangan." This is from the horse's mouth fifty years ago but we opposed to be disciplined in a militarized manner as it violated our freedoms, says the "progressive group".
Here we are now having all the freedom where going to school is an option, where disowning a parent over principle happened, where following laws is a choice until caught, where foreign views matter and criticking the government becomes a prestige. In short and simple language, we become undisciplined mammals trying to be Filipino.
