     First of all, you should NOT. Not until you know yourself , and you are ready to set your own path for your goal. As long as you believed strangers on the internet about something as important to be a leftist, doubting the worth of soldiers and you're willing to be influenced by the opinions of others , you are not ready.

    The Philippine Military Academy is Strict, Tough! and Intense! That is how the PMA forges an AFP officer to become a leader of the men and women of the dynamic military fighting force of the country . If you are ready to step up, if it's your time, if you are ready to set aside your past, the Academy awaits for you. 

    You will get knowledge that is second to none. When you graduate, You will wear the uniform of the respected image of the AFP. You will meet amazing people and you'll learn to be comfortable living on serving your fellow countrymen. You will have a progressive career and be given responsibility and accountability. You will be changed completely. 

     If this doesn't provide enough "why" for you, then I suggest that you attend a civilian school, drink beer, lit scags, get a degree, move back in with your parents or do protest on the streets blaming government for your unemployment.
